@storris
How much is it losing center? If its by a small amount, the wheel adapter may be slightly loose and slipping. Check to make sure its tight. I saw this mentioned in another thread where someone mentioned the wheel loosing center. -
@kevin yeah it was slipping.

Unfortunately, we've had to divert development resource elsewhere to combat component shortages. Once these projects are delivered, the firmware release cycle will resume
-
@sim-plicity-dev glad to here this hasn’t been dropped. Traffic on this forum has dropped which was a bit of a worry.

We did a ton of work last year based on components that have been unavailable for most of this year. We are now having to redo all that work for the components we have been able to secure in addition to building out our own SMT assembly line to eliminate our reliance on external stockholdings.
Fortunately, we are at the tail end of that process and will shortly begin to introduce some interesting developments.
-
@sim-plicity-dev good to hear
-
Is there any update on the firmware release. I noticed that you were also looking at Linux which for me isn't of interest but some development on the current platform would be good.
Thanks!

Not at all. All "new feature" development is being queued pending the hardware platform release referenced above.
Bug fixes are being handled within the 21.07.xx development stream
-
@Sim-plicity-Dev
Any news? Progress updates? Plans? When writing this post the forum showed me this warning:Which is ironic, really.

Arjan

@loermansa it has gone very quiet

@Pablo_uk
I don't mind waiting and I like buying stuff from smaller independant companies. But I do think that for the amount of money we pay, we are entitled to a little more feedback from the company. The software has hardly changed since I bought my wheelbase over 2 years ago, except for minor bugfixes. Promises about updates and timeframes have been made and broken.Meanwhile most other wheels have a more complete software ecosystem, like a way to launch games with automatic profiles, a nice GUI with clear (less technical) description of the settings, a way to test forces and changes from inside the settings.

Any updates on this, it's gone very quiet I know you said about moving dev around but that was a while ago

It;'s very quiet. Could @Sim-plicity-Dev give something of an update about what's being worked on, what's in the pipeline and if there is any timeline?

@Sim-plicity-Dev @Sim-plicity_Admin
Is this forum dead now? No further development????
There's been nothing for a long time, would be nice for an update.

I'll keep asking until someone replies; @Sim-plicity-Dev / @Sim-plicity_Admin ; no updates?
The latest alpha firmware is 21.07.02 and is from Nov 21, 2021
The latest beta firmware is 21.07.04 and is from Jan 31, 2022
The latest stable firmware is 21.07.05 and is from Aug 17, 2022The alpha branch is the oldest and the stable branch is the most recent, but hasn't been updated since august 17th 2022. That's over a year without any activity or updates whatsoever. Am I missing something?
Is there a way to run the control electronics on open source drivers? Like from the OSW project?

Arjan

@loermansa Replying to myself; still nothing from @Sim-plicity-Dev @Sim-plicity_Admin. I've asked them via their support email address and haven't gotten a reply.

@loermansa hi, oh well, that means no firmware update for wrc ea..:(

@lokcy @Sim-plicity-Dev / @Sim-plicity_Admin
I don't think anyone is doing any development on the product now. It seems that nobody has replied in a long time!
I mean to be fair the product is fairly faultless but some updates would be nice as it still has the odd niggle.
