@sim-plicity-dev yes, I've disconnected all other usb devices and nothing changed. I tried to connect wheel to laptop, I got wheel unrecognised. Checked device manager and it showed yellow triangle 'usb device descriptor request failed'.
When I did first time routine with base driver install and then firmware, then made laptop restart and now wheel won't show up in device manager.

@mike I tried this already., it's my go to tool.

I went as far as to remove all the USB devices that were not connected (Everything excluding my mouse and keyboard). So i think it might be where the firmware doesn't enable the USB on the chip.

I think a direct flashing of the firmware file via serial flasher would solve the issue. But we will see what happens when they collect my unit on Thursday.

I do hope that I don't sit without a wheel for too long.

The error suggests a permissions issue in Windows. Can you try running as Administrator?

            That fixed the error.
But the program isn't opening up.
It does reflect under my devices though.

Can you open up "Event Viewer", expand "Windows Logs\Application", select "Filter Current Log", populate the filter window with the following values & click "OK"

                3ebe73b5-c78d-4893-af27-8a4236710b3c-image.png

You should be able to identify the entries relating to the wheel software (SW25.exe) in the filtered list. Could you post screenshots of the most recent .Net Runtime & Application Error Logs? The General tab will suffice.

                  Hi,

                  There are a few.
Is there one in particular you want to see?

Thank you for the help by the way.
Much appreciated and nice to see Simplicity getting more involved with the community.

Glad you're finding the forums beneficial. Hopefully, we'll be able to identify and resolve issues quicker this way.

We need an Application Error & corresponding .Net runtime Error as a pair.

The 2nd entry (11:23:48 .Net runtime Error) should have the additional detail needed.

It appears your Windows user account privileges were insufficient to correctly install the required dlls during the installation.

I'll send you a zip file with the missing dlls which you'll need to extract to your "C:\Program Files\Sim-plicity\SW25" folder.

Did you by any chance uninstall & reinstall the Base Driver package?

Can you attempt to launch SW25.exe then repeat the "Event Viewer" operation, this time reducing the "Logged" value to "Last Hour"?

As all SW15 wheelbases shipped with v21.02.05 firmware, there's nothing new in this release. Future releases will include SW15 updates.

@frijsdijk stronger low and mid range torque, wheel is more reactive, it's hard to explain just feels a lot better. The extra speed helps too.

Little issue I found, profile is not saving changes to virtual torque so I have to set it every time I turn the base on.
