Hello . ( not sure If its all or specific wheel related issue so have opted for the latter in post )

      Hardware / firmware SW20v3 /21.07.04
      Game Raceroom racing experience.
      installer package 21.07.04 .

Since June 13th update I have been unable to use Sim mode for the game.

Problem in Sim mode : Left to right / Right to left centre threshold "Snap" as if I had inverted FFB. Snapping force circa 60% of what ever Nm I set

Ive tried deletion of simbin folder and reload of rcs file / installer package And numerous extreme Simplicity settings all have same issue. all have not removed the issue
R3e patch has seemingly broken the installer set up. they mention a min force change in patch notes (side note looks like the Moza R9 have also had inverted force issues.)

Any advice you can offer would be appreciated.

      Regards

      Ochso

We've had a look at this and the cause appears to be the Gearshift Effects within R3E

Setting the value to 0 eliminates the behaviour without making any other changes.

Can you try that and let us know the result?

HI thanks for the reply .

Unfortunately I dont use any of r3e canned effects so they are always zero. But I double checked just to be sure.

I made a short video of the snap effect with all other devices ( sim rig , button box pedals etc) not attached and the ffb meter running the snap is visible as the loads switch from left to right at the centre
          https://youtu.be/nUFkCrj4OEc

This has only presented to R3e in Sim mode ( Game mode no issue ) every other sim runs fine. and only since the set of updates since 13th. ( last time I had played it was 12th - sods law in action regarding pinpointing the exact patch)

Forgot to mention my OS which is Win 10 Pro 22H2 (all up to date)
Next up is a complete re install of r3e just in case the new Steam ui is not verifying properly.
And drop a forum question to KW just in case there are simmilarities to the R9 inversion issue..

          Regards

Eventually had the time to do a complete clean installation of the game. ( Blame a slow interweb and definitive lack of time)
Adding I had tried verification several times without it finding any corruptions.

I did not apply the launcher software : ( A control experiment if you will)

No more snap in Sim mode. So I will not apply it for now unless something crops up.

I will ( Time permitting) compare the differing Wheelcontroller .rcs files I have accumulated over time to see the difference in the older versions compared to the new as there must be a snippet as to why the snap occured ..

But that is for a later date.

Thank you for your time hopefully the matter is resolved ( fingers crossed)

            Regards

Thanks for the update. It does appear the new version does not agree with supporting files from the previous versions.
We'll take a look at the Presets Installer to see if it is still required /relevant to the new version.
