Base sold, buyer speaks about 'grainy' feeling in center
-
So I recently sold my sw20v3 base. I have used it ~4 years at this point, 99% in iRacing, and it brought me to 3k IR quite easy. I've been very happy with this base till the last day and it's only because I got gifted a SC2 by my parents, that I've upgraded and so the sw20v3 was put on sale.
I packaged the whole thing thoroughly, using ton of shock absorbing layers in a box-in-a-box type of packaging. Everything arrived in good order.
The buyer first contacted me because he didn't get any life out of the base after installing everything. This seemed to be the USB cable from the controller box to the PC. Then it still gave the known "Error" in the sw20v3 app, but this was promptly solved although the buyer did not tell me how or what it was. The app said the base was online and everything seemed fine at this point.
A little later the buyer contacted me again, claiming there was a weird grainy feel while rotating over the center position of the wheel. I have no idea what he means here, but he describes it as if there are small rocks on the road surface in the center position of the wheel. This happens only in-game he says, not while just rotating the wheel when not in a game. He experiences this in both F1 2023 (I never played that) and in iRacing.
I have really no clue what he is talking about, let alone help him fix it. Perhaps someone here might have an idea? The base had always worked flawlessly for me, and AFAIK the transport has not damaged anything.
Thanks!
