Current Status: Alpha
Download Location: https://github.com/sim-plicity/SW-firmware-alpha/releases/tag/v21.07.02
Supported Wheelbases, Control Units & Control Boards: 13Changes:
Modifies the installer to perform additional steps prior to installing firmware
Fixes force scaling bug identified in v21.07.01 -
@sim-plicity-dev sucessfully updated firmware on SW25 to V21.07.02.
I only play iracing, do i need to change or usb mode?
-
iRacing is fine in "Sim Mode". Changing to "Game Mode" is only for titles that don't work properly in "Sim Mode".
"Game Mode" is a stripped down implementation and will typically only be needed for compatibility reasons. -
Hi,
has anyone else problems to open the control software recently?
If I try to open it i get two errors in the logs:- .NET Runtime error stating an System.IO.FileNotFoundException in bei Compact.frmMain..ctor(System.String[]) and Compact.Program.Main(System.String[])
- Application Error for C:\Program Files\Sim-plicity\SW10C\SW10 Compact.exe Path to faulty module: C:\WINDOWS\System32\KERNELBASE.dll
I run Windows 10 Pro with the 21H2 upgrade.

Is the Base Driver Package installed?
The error messages point to its dlls not being found.
Try re-running as Administrator. -

Try re-running as Administrator.Indeed, the driver was missing. Thank you for pointing this out! I definitely did not remove the driver myself. But there were some updates I installed recently. Maybe this was causing the driver removal.
Anyway, thank you very much!BR

AMS2 has an issue with this FW and the SW10C. Be aware that the wheel will snap to the right with full force as soon as you click drive! Lucky me had a good grip on the wheel in that situation. After going back to the beta 21.02.06 the issue is gone.

@ecky
We're looking into this. If you are running v21.07.02, switch to "Game Mode" to avoid this issue. -
@sim-plicity-dev
2 news:
Everything seems to work perfectly in GT Legends (so in Simbin in general), but I have found a bug:
When I crash agains a car the wheel keeps working but the ffb whats to keep left. After restarting ffb in the game (alt+f in GTL) it keeps working perfectly.
2 videos to show this (big crash and "not so big")https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tc-QIFbXxlA
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGu4OB6e-y0
I know that its not normal to have that crashes but in case I have the wheel gets stuck.
All this in "game mode" (Sim mode doesnt even recognize the wheelbase. -
@byagm BTW I miss this things in the firm:
1- If I always play a game wich must be played in "game mode" why doesnt allow me to set that mode (instead of Sim Mode) as default?
2- If I always use the same profile to play why I have to load instead of save as "startup" of default?
3- Maybe even posibility to eprom save or internal save so its not needed to open the software to play with my profile or mode. -
@byagm extra info:
Startup setup can be saved but it doesnt show the parameters in "preview" until you restart the app.Wich cannot be saved is the "game mode" as default, so I must open the app everytime I want to play.
The bug about the crashes happens with walls too. Even with hard kerbs. Wheel goes left and wants to keep there with the force has been atacked in that Kerb/wall/car. FFB keeps working but with an extra high force to the left.
-
Thanks for confirming "Game Mode" better supports GT Legends.
We'll look into the crash issue and try to replicate it. Can you post your current PLR file?

Thanks for the suggestions, they are scheduled for inclusion in v21.07.04 (v21.07.03 is an Esport only release)

@sim-plicity-dev any idea about 21.07.04 aprox date?
TY -
The binaries should be up by the end of next week

I bought the SW20 V3 and I love it, the hardware is awesome. But the software hasn't officially changed in a long time and is as bare bones as it gets. This forum is a step in the right direction, when it comes to customer engagement, but the lack of updates is getting a bit frustrating. I can understand that a small company has limited resources, but still, a little more proactive announcements can be good. Even if there is nothing new to announce because work is taking longer than planned. Just keep us informed.

Lo estado probando durande un mes en mi SW8+ y cuando fue mucho el giro por pérdida de control durante un tiempo prolongado de 2-3 segundos desconeecta cosa que no sucede con el estable
