We currently develop firmware on 3 broad hardware platforms

      • Gen 1 - Released August 2018
      • Gen 1 Lite - Due Sep 2021 Delayed till Jan 2022
      • Gen 1 Plus - Due Oct 2021 Delayed till Jan 2022

Each platform has multiple configurations to support different wheelbases & control units

The Gen 1 platform was our first wholly in-house design and powers 13 different wheelbases, It is a 5 PCB design controlled by a single processor (with a dedicated math co-processor) running at a max motor drive frequency of 54KHz,

The Gen 1 Lite platform builds on our experience with Gen 1 and is expected to power 6 new wheelbases & 3 control units. It is designed for ease of manufacturing and packaging flexibility providing Gen 1 functionality in a 1 or 2 PCB design (depending on configuration) controlled by 2 processors running at a max motor drive frequency of 36KHz.

The Gen 1 Plus platform extends the Gen1 platform and will initially power 3 new wheelbases & 2 control units. It adopts the flexible 1 or 2 PCB design and provides an all round performance uplift on Gen 1 with 2 processors (1 with a dedicated math co-processor) and an expected max motor drive frequency of 72KHz.

Across all platforms, we tailor the firmware for each wheelbase to its specific configuration ensuring optimal performance. The new control units have downloadable profiles for common motor configurations to maximise performance.
